Listen, You're Not Alone
I totally get you, 100%!
I recently busted myself out of the exact same scenario and I shared my personal story in my blog post.
I literally felt like the biggest dumbass God ever created and seriously considered chucking my ENTIRE business and doing Door Dash or working at Walmart because I obviously was completely INEPT at owning a business let alone teaching others how to improve THEIR life.
I’m not even kidding.
I came into 2020 on top of my game only to have the rug pulled right out from underneath me and I wasn’t able to recover in the ways I had in the past.
When you work as hard as we have and life STILL isn’t going the way we want, we can begin to feel like we have something seriously wrong with us that just can’t be fixed.
I discovered that the problem isn’t that there’s something wrong with us, the problem lies somewhere deep within us.
And it isn’t necessarily our fault.
After going through my “dark night of the soul”, I realized that even after all the work I have done on myself; the therapy, the recovery work, the spiritual healing, the coaching, mentoring, and more, I was STILL subconsciously holding onto some type of negativity that was preventing me from moving forward in the ways I wanted to.
I was still struggling with low self-confidence, low self-esteem, fear of failure, fear of success, money blocks and scarcity thinking, IMPOSTER SYNDROME, and so much more.
It was quite surprising, but painfully true.
After my call to learn yoga and truly understanding HOW YOGA WORKS, I became intuitively aware that I’ve experienced an excessive amount of TRAUMA and DRAMA throughout my entire lifetime.
And even though I’ve done extensive work on myself around those particular issues, some of that trauma and drama had manifested as DEEPLY ENGRAINED BLOCKS + OBSTACLES that were intricately weaved throughout my mind, body, and spirit, including my DNA.
That’s right, throughout my DNA. Talk about a shocker.
Some of the problems I was experiencing technically weren’t even my own, they were issues I had inherited from my family!
This is what we refer to as GENERATIONAL CURSES which are an acquired set of thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and behaviors we physically inherit or learn from our immediate family members and surrounding community.
Portions of that trauma are so deeply instilled that I would LOGICALLY KNOW the proper way to think, respond, or take action on a matter, but my conscious mind would OVERRIDE the positive and CONTINUE with negative responses.
Have YOU ever experienced that? Holy hell.
It’s SO frustrating when you know better not to do something, but still choose the lesser.
This type of recovery work is something I’ll be doing my entire life and chances are you will too.
We’re never truly absolved of the trauma, but we can learn how to lessen the amount we carry and refuse it from having dominion over us and our success and power through it like a badass do.
